The PCG reported that the cargo ship LCT Aviva 80 ran aground near Barangay Bani due to strong winds and large waves.
"The joint search and rescue (SAR) team, comprised of Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel, used a life raft connected to a rope to rescue the crew of the distressed vessel," the PCG added.
